Puerto Rico was our first trip out the the country (Technically). It was just me and my husband that went for our anniversary. It is such a beautiful island and such pleasant and friendly people. We stayed out of San Juan about 45 minutes at the Wyndham Rio Mar Resort. The resort was a beautiful resort but did have some issues: #1 When we checked in the Desk Attendant was really rude and said they don’t want us to destroy the room so we had to put a $700 deposit down (which was only my husband and I). We told them that was crazy so we put half down $350. #2 The Swim up bar is in the family friendly pool and the adult only pool closes at 9pm. #3 There were kids running around the hot tub at 10pm and my husband and I were just trying to have a romantic quiet time and the security guard came and yelled at me for not having my bracelet on and not the kids (which no parents were around).
The tour that we went on was so fun but very long and a lot of work out. We went Cave Exploring and Zip Lining. It was about a 2 hr. drive from where we were staying but a beautiful drive to see the country. We explored about 5-6 different caves, zip lined and repelled down a cliff (My Husband did not me LOL)!
Visiting San Juan and Old San Juan was a great experience. In Old San Juan the building are so beautiful and cultural. While we were down there we had to visit El Morro Fort. It is so historical and picturesque. It does take over a hour to walk around the fort by the beach so pack your sunscreen!
All in All I would have to say this was a amazing trip and great memories!
